Case Study: Placing multiple deep wells to achieve groundwater reduction of -14m below ground level. Return dewatering was installed to prevent settlements from the nearby area.
Our solution: Flexibility was required for this project because the tunnel was located at Deurne airport. In other words, this meant that work was carried out both during the night and during the day to complete the installation in the RESA zone.
The installation consisted of more than 40 deep wells. These wells were connected through a welded polyethylene pipe of more than 2000m. Seven alarm systems ensured continuous monitoring of the entire installation.
This installation was decommissioned after a period of 1.5 years.
